You will always receive 'real time information' in order to do your job without searching. This sounds almost impossible and it has been for ages.

Two important factors have dramatically improved the capabilities at our disposal to further enhance data provision; cloud data storing and computing, and the processing power of smartphones and tablet pc's.

We are able to provide information not only based on a user's profile but also based upon the user's context. We call this "context aware information access".  Our system provides information based upon who you are, where you are, what you need to do, where you are going and  the status  of the work process you are in, all without any search action. We operate a state of the art back-end system that, using the highest quality standards, retrieves information from the legacy airline systems and composes customized data sets based upon the context aware profile. Using a patented technology we send this data in an encrypted form to the end user's device.

The application on the device decrypts the data and visualizes the information in a user-friendly format. The crew can use the application to transmit all necessary reports, feedback, enrollment forms and ideas. MI.Airline's back-end system further processes this information in a seamless way to the appropriate parties.

MI.Airline operates according to the highest and most recent industry standards. We use different service levels depending on the individual airline's needs and requirements. In addition,  we offer you help-desk support, product financing, device insurances, swap and repair services and worldwide data roaming services.

Founding partner, CEO and CFO. Job is a succesful entrepreneur. His strength in accelerating business ideas into profitable companies, is illustrated by his track record in building companies from the ground up, with both the Pijlhove Group and Cycleon having been successfully sold after a few years. His energy creates his assertive ambition and drive, while fostering productive relationships. He is dedicated and focused. As an esteemed member of the Investment Committee of the Twente Technology Fund and Advisory Board Member at DeltIQ Group, his MSc in Business & Engineering at the Twente University and his MBA at INSEAD, he has a unique, holistic view on what it takes to grow a high potential company.

Hans Korteweg

Founding partner and CMO. Hans previously served as VP Alliances for KLM at the time of partnerships with Northwest, Continental and Alitalia, he was a senior negotiator in the takeover by Air France, held a President position for BCD Travel in both France and The Netherlands and is involved in several ventures: MySky, Skyters Online Marketing, Zebra Capital and Preferredcare. He is Board Member of Reactivate, Kuku Nzito, EMcare and Chairman of the Kennemer Lyceum Foundation. In addition to his marketing experience, he holds the following credentials: a doctorate in Law, and master degrees in both Economics and Political Sciences. Hans exudes energy and enthusiasm, and if ever a doubt about focus: know that Hans once achieved a 20th position in the gruelling Paris Dakar Rally.

Paul Mees

Founding partner and COO, has experience as an airline industry executive and a real estate business owner in both the US and Europe. Paul held several strategic positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines such as: Loyalty Program Product Manager, Commercial Director at subsidiary KLM Cityhopper and as KLM Sales Manager for Southern Europe. He completed The American Management Association's Executive Leadership program. He moved on to pursue adventurous ambitions and improve his organisational skills by developing and operating his own Real Estate company in San Francisco, California. Thirty years of international business development, strategic sales and key account management skills along with his social media and technology knowledge honed in the Bay Area makes Paul the right person for the daily operational oversight of MI.Airline.

Martijn Moret

CTO; Martijn has a passion for flying and all things related to the airline business. He is a Board Member at Wizzbit and was Innovation Director at Vidamore BV. As former Technology Manager at BlueVentus, Accenture and LogiGo, his information strategies and architectures offers this organization a fast track to success. Martijn is customer-oriented, and attended the highly reputed The Hague Hotel Management School. He specialises in implementing projects, digital business development, product incubation and building technology strategies. Especially for MI.Airline, a newer company he brings all of his broad experience in developing the full architectural designs of our product offerings.

Henk de Graauw

Senior Commercial Consultant, is a world traveler. As such he has an extensive network within the airline industry. Prior to his role in Business Development at SkyNRG, he spent many years at KLM, building a vast network of trustworthy relationships. He served as Director of Alliances at KLM, Director of Alliances at Air France - KLM, as General Manager in many countries around the world such as Japan, India or Jamaica, he also acted as Import Export Manager at Borneo Sumatra Trading Company, just after graduating from the prestigious Nyenrode Business University. Henk continues to travel the world and visit airline executives to connect them with MI.Airline. Henk is of great value to us and the airlines, during this critical emerging period.

Chairman of The Advisory Board and shareholder, is a charismatic Leader. He is also a Board Member of the Supervisory Board of Aalberts Industries N.V. and has been since 1996. Dries is a former Managing Director of the Passage Division of KLM, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Jetair W.W. AG, Chairman of the Advisory Council of Key Technology, Inc., Member of the Advisory Council of Deerns Group and former Board Member of Braathens, Eurowings and Kenya Airways. Clearly he is a visionary and has the ability to see the possibilities for the future. Dries is engaged with us on a daily basis, and leads our executive team towards high recognition and the right balance between growth for profit and long term market penetration.

Jan van Duyn

Advisory Board Member and shareholder, is a well recognized informal investor with tremendous experience in building up early stage companies. Jan comes from a very strong entrepreneurial background: fast, furious, and to the point. During the 90's he built several ICT companies into profitable businesses and sold these companies to blue chip enterprises like Getronics. He held board seats in companies such as Airspray and Interxion and is currently a Board Member of Sharewire, an application developer that leads their field in The Netherlands. Jan supplies MI.Airline the financial and IT mentorship needed to provide sustainability.

Eric Tierie

Advisory Board Member and shareholder, is Director and owner at Xegasus Aviation Investments. An enthusiastic pilot, he is also a Senior Executive with international experience in
 steel, aviation/aerospace, packaging, chemicals, electronics, green energy, off shore. Member of the Supervisory board at Frontier and Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board at 'Children of the World foundation'', previous roles included Supervisory Board Member at Airbulance, Chairmanship of the Supervisory Board at Bandridge Europe and CEO at Diolen Industrial Fibers. Eric has impressive credentials from the London Business School, the University of Cambridge and the Joint Aviation Authorities of Europe.

Frank Rövekamp

Member of our Board of Ambassadors, is former Group Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone Group and Member of the Supervisory Boards of Unit 4 and Vodafone Germany. He is former CMO of Vodafone in Germany and The Netherlands, former President and CEO of Beyoo Switzerland and former SR VP Marketing & Revenue Management at KLM. Frank brings his extensive knowledge of telecommunication and mobility, along with the intrinsic awareness of airline industry complexities.

Can we only use IPads with the MI.Airline solution?

No, our software supports multiple platforms. MI.Airline has agreements with several mainstream Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to facilitate a cost effective introduction of the desired tablet pc.

Why shouldn't I just contact my system integrator to create my own system?

We are not a system integrator but a service integrator. Our product is the result of over one hundred years of operational airline experience which results in a rapid deployment and this creates maximum value for you. In addition,  we offer a fully flexible solution  with NO upfront capital investment. We operate on a "pay per user basis" making costs only visible on your Profit and Loss statement. The value you create in your daily operations will be instantly visible making the MI.Airline product a great offer superior to any system integrator solution.

Your system must create a gigantic amount of roaming fees.

The MI.Airline product is developed (patent pending) so YOU can make the decision whether it is economically viable to send certain information to your staff over UMTS. Our product manages the information streams on a machine2machine communication basis and always chooses the most economical connection. We offer several communication solutions which can be fully tailored to meet  your specific needs (eg: the destinations you fly to, agreements with hotels, etc).

Can my employee use the device for personal communication?

You establish the policy for your company on personal usage. We provide a solution for both situations. In the event you choose to open the platform for personal use we offer a premium service level agreement that facilitates a system to 'create a mirror' of the device including the personal data. Also your employee can be up and running quickly  in the case of a broken or malfunctioning device, keeping her/his personal data intact.

Can I only use your product for crew?

Why is context aware information provision so important and why don’t I just let my employees search for the right information?

First of all,  being able to search means incorporating human error; searching for the wrong information can significantly compromise safety. In addition, searching takes time (which in many cases is not available) and the information required cannot always be obtained due to connection difficulties. Imagine an operational disruption like being diverted to a different airfield then originally planned, wouldn’t it be great to activate your device and have all the new information at hand? We only push the required information to the user, which is only a small part of the total data set, making our system, from a data security point, the safest and most unique of its kind.
